Getting Personal

My goal is create photography based art that people find enjoyable, and want to hang on their walls. Because we don’t all like the same things, I often will fail, and I’m willing to accept all the associated shame. My pieces reflect the end point of my taking a good photograph, and developing it into something that I personally enjoy. The enjoyment I find in my work is centered in my deep attachment to the natural world, and my recollection of the time and place of each of the photographs used in the piece being presented. While I may offer text explaining the piece, I cannot relay all of the personal insight and recollections that went with each photo. Nor do you want me to. You see the beauty of False Garlic blooming in the Ozarks in April. I fondly recall where I found the tick. Believe me, it gets very personal.
